NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander confirmed Monday morning that the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) has selected a team from the Security & Intelligence Branch, within the RBPF, to lead the investigation into an alleged case of bribery which reportedly involves Chief Superintendent Michael Johnson.

“The existing Independent Inspectorate Board will be involved in a supervisory role,” he further explained.

Fernander said that the RBPF is in dialogue with its international law enforcement counterparts in the United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK) who have all given their commitment to provide support to ensure that the investigation process is independent, thorough and fair.
