The Department of Local Government in preparation of this year’s hurricane season will hold a press conference on August 8th at 2:30pm at Manx Corporate Centre to announce the distribution of hurricane kits to the Family Island Administrators.
The kits will include an assortment of hurricane supplies including boots and raincoats that will assist the Administrators in their work during the upcoming hurricane season.
The Honorable Clay Sweeting, Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources and Family Affairs along with the Honorable Myles Laroda, Minister of State with responsibility for Disaster Preparedness, Management and Reconstruction, will be in attendance.
