LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Dear editor in commemoration of  Rev. Carlton Francis a true bahamian son of the soil, showed that he also was big on self improvement

In those old days when at least every street had at least one sign ending in "... ... done within" on it he taught Mathematics and Pitman's Level Bookkeeping from his dining room opposite the Conch Restaurant

When his dining room got too small he parked his car in the yard and set up his garage for more

Plenty Black students were pushed to success

I was deeply saddened reading of Prime Minister Pindling saying that he only saw a suit when Carlton Francis visited the House of Assembly

Diabetes had wasted him. He lost plenty weight

But, Pindling was human

Nobody is perfect

Carlton Francis was a great Bahamian

May the memory of the righteous be a blessing
