The Bahamas and twenty other countries were recently singled out by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the premise that their residence by investment (RBI) and citizenship by investment (CBI) schemes pose a high risk to the integrity of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) regime. This adverse listing followed the analysis of over 100 CBI/RBI schemes by the OECD.

NASSAU, The Bahamas - During The Commonwealth of The Bahamas Investiture of National Honours 2018 Ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Hubert Alexander Minnis was invested with the insignia, The Order of The Nation, in the first of such honours instituted by the country as it observes National Heroes Day.

The Prime Minister will now be addressed as Dr. the Most Honourable Hubert Alexander Minnis, O.N, M.P, in keeping with the National Honours Act 2016.

Nassau – Former MP and Cabinet Minister Phenton Neymour, The former South Beach MP passed away evening with family at his side. Neymour was diagnosed with colon cancer on February 10, 2014 and while he has beaten cancer, he said he is dealing with some other issues.
