Nassau, Bahamas – A Marathon Bahamas program that allows middle school students to run their first marathon is back for a fourth year in a row.

The Aliv sponsored, Orange Nation, will once again welcome junior participants for Marathon Bahamas’ 10th anniversary in January.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather will fight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan on 31 December, after signing a deal with a mixed martial arts company.

Former five-weight world champion Mayweather beat UFC's Conor McGregor in a boxing match in August 2017 to extend his perfect record to 50 wins.

He has talked recently about potential fights with the UFC's Khabib Nurmagomedov and boxer Manny Pacquiao.

The format and rules for his fight with Nasukawa are yet to be decided.

Nassau, Bahamas - After three very successful events at the National Tennis Centre, Albany Tennis Academy and Baha Mar in New Providence the Winterbotham IC Junior Series moves to Freeport on this weekend November 3rd & 4th.

This tennis series designed for the important development ages of 10’s and 12’s is organised by the IC of The Bahamas ( part of 40 International Tennis Clubs comprised of top players who also give back to the development of their sport).

NASSAU, The Bahamas - In preparation for the World Junior Judo Championships that begins October 17, 2018, Minister of the Environment and Housing the Hon. Romauld Ferreira and Director of Sports at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Timothy Munnings joined Bahamas Judo Federation President D'Arcy Rahming at the Lynden Pindling International Airport to welcome and recieve President of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Marius Vizer, on October 13, 2018.

The Sports, Social and Welfare Committees of Bahamas Immigration Department have announced that due to circumstances beyond their control, the Immigration Department's 5k Fun, Run, Walk scheduled for Saturday 6th October 2018 at 6am, has been postponed until further notice.

The Department deeply regrets and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
